Murmurs Of A Conflicted Heart
They say to find yourself you must let go,
But I am stitched to every role I’ve played,
The woman, the sister, the daughter who obeyed,
The one unafraid though hiding storms they will never know
I soaked in my chaos, just to feel control,
As the silence hurts much more,
Where words once bloomed now sorrow bores,
I let the rain pour, yet never took its toll
Oh, conflicted heart, why doust though ache?
Stuck in a cycle, a delicate mistake,
For every dazzling promise that gently gleams,
A shadow weaves, unravelling dreams
In your eyes, a promising embrace,
Yearning for solace, yet set ablaze,
The reins of fury fell, gently with grace,
A silent vow as dawn cascades
The actions subtle ,the promises loud,
The heart holds on as sense starts to wane,
Pulling strings of pleasure and pain,
A search in vain ,a waltz in the rain
But amidst this tangled web, delicate threads,
Carrying my heart on my sleeve,
Every analogy a tear too small to see,
A fragment of myself once lost to his decree
No longer held hostage by love’s haunting sway,
For chains of regret hold a weight far too great,
Confined in whispers behind sorrow’s ruthless gate,
Towards the horizon, I find my own way
A chapter inked in softer light,
No voice above mine to make me small,
The world still revolves but now I own it all,
For in every farewell , a new spark ignites
