About MIT Manipal Campus

The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) campus is located in Manipal, a university town in Udupi district, coastal Karnataka. The campus spans a large area and is home to 5 main academic blocks (AB1 to AB5), multiple hostel zones for boys and girls, a central food court, the Marena sports complex, a central library, health centre, and the iconic Student Plaza.

Academic Blocks

MIT Manipal has five academic blocks — AB1, AB2, AB3, AB4, and AB5 — each housing different departments, lecture halls, labs, and faculty cabins. The blocks are connected by walkways and are within walking distance of the hostel zones. Use MTTN Maps for room-level indoor navigation across all blocks.

Student Plaza & KC Gate

The Student Plaza (formerly known as KC or Kama Circle) is the social hub of MIT Manipal, featuring local shops, eateries, and student hangout spaces. It replaced what was once a basketball court. The KC gate is the main entrance to the student-facing side of the campus.

Hostels & Accommodation

MIT Manipal has 22 hostel blocks plus the premium Regency (Block 23). Girls' hostels are in blocks 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 21, and 22. Boys' hostels are in blocks 5, 6, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and Regency. Rooms are available in AC and Non-AC configurations with single, double, and triple occupancy options. Sports & Facilities

The Marena sports complex offers a swimming pool, basketball and badminton courts, a gym, and a football ground. MIT Manipal also has a central library, a health centre, canteens, ATMs, and a post office within the campus.
